On May 21, 2003 the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Harbor Washington was formally accepted into the Boys & Girls Clubs of America organization. The Club operates out of the Rollerbarn in Oak Harbor and currently has a membership of 160 kids!
Our Mission
Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Our Core Beliefs
The Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring adult professionals, life enhancing programs, character development experiences, hope and opportunity.
We strive for young people to achieve:

- 49% live in single parent families
- 63% are from minority families
- 56% are male
- 42% are from families with annual incomes less than $22,000
Boys & Girls Club Programs Work!
In studies sponsored by the Carnegie Corporation and Columbia University, young people participating in Boys & Girls Clubs showed the following results:
- 15% overall higher grade point average
- 87% fewer school absences
- 81% increase in homework completion
- 22% reduction in drug activity
- 13% reduction in juvenile crime
Membership Information
Becoming a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Harbor is easy! Just come by and see us at the Rollerbarn and pick up the required Membership paperwork. Cost for membership is $20 per calendar year, due in January. Once you pay your membership fee you can enjoy use of the Club and all its activities, Monday through Friday from 2pm to 5:30pm.
Military Membership
Military Dependants who sign up for the Boys & Girls Club will have their membership fee of $20 paid by the Mission Youth Outreach Program sponsored by the U.S. Armed Forces! Call the Club for more information on this terrific program!
